While policies and laws may be vague, society and legal institutes tend to issue discriminative rulings against the LGBTIQ+ individuals by using the fact that there is no clear law that protects them.
Making the difference.
Most legal services are not responsive and appropriate for LGBTIQ+ people, especially those who face intersectional issues such as family violence, homelessness, racism, religious discrimination, mental health issues, and gender-based violence.
This all leads to criminalizing, prisoning, corrective raping, or killing of the LGBTIQ+ individuals especially women under the name of “honor”.
Access to private law firms and lawyers provides a sense of security to LGBTIQ+ members.
